Aconite (Aconitum Napellus) providing relief for your animal for shock, stess, fear, anxiety, restlessness, fever or chills that come on suddenly.
Agrimony – anti-anxiety, restlessness. useful for pets with anxiety, compulsive grooming behavior, self-mutilation, tail biting, foot licking, physical stress, nervousness, nervous pacing.
Aluminum hydroxide – eliminate excess phosphorus from the body. The dosage is prescribed based on the degree of phosphorous levels in the blood, which should be evaluated by a veterinarian often to ensure the proper amount is administered. Typical administration for dogs and cats in gel form is 5-15 mg/lb. (10-30 mg/kg) every 8 hours with a meal.
Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) – diuretic, sedative, and anti-inflammatory properties and you will see it in many of our lists.
Astragalus –immune system builder and strength, this herb is a deep tonic that replenishes bone marrow. Anti-fungal/diuretic/expels toxins/pus/aids adrenal. strengthens the digestion and stimulates the immune system. aids adrenal gland function, acts as a diuretic and dilates blood vessels. should not be used in cases of acute infections or fevers.
Anica (Arnica Montana) – For external use only on unbroken skin, for swelling, pain, and bruising, helps with neuromuscular tones as in arthritis anti-inflammatory and pain-killing properties when used externally prepared form. It should not be used on open wounds.
Arsenicum Album– Relieves vomiting and gastrointestinal upset associated with kidney failure and kidney disease.
Alfalfa -. Kidney tonic. source of chlorophyll, beta carotene, calcium, and the vitamins D, E and K. Alfalfa has laxative, diuretic, and antiseptic effects. Use as a detoxifier, improve liver function, and cleanse the blood. helpful in the treatment of urinary tract infections, kidney, and bladder. Also often recommended for bone and joint disorders, digestive problems, skin disorders and ulcers. Aids in healing allergies, arthritis, peptic ulcers, stomach ailments & bad breath, blood purifier aids in the assimilation of protein, calcium & other nutrients
Aloe Vera –antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and wound-healing effects. It also stimulates immunity. Taken internally, it soothes gut irritation, aids healing and is laxative. Topically Aloe vera is used to treat burns, minor skin irritations, and wounds. Internally it is used to treat constipation, peptic ulcers, diabetes, asthma, and viral infections. Do not use directly from the plant. The latex is toxic. Use only products that have removed this.
Ash ( fraxinus excelsior) moderate anti-inflammatory containing coumarins that inhibit T-cells and prostaglandin biosynthesis. Do not use whole seeds.
Bacopa depression, nerves, supports cognitive dysfunction in elderly animals, in case of epilepsy. It is an adaptogenic plant capable of increasing resistance to stress, which predisposes animals to diseases, including infections.
Barberry Good for sluggish liver, gallstones, herpes, ulcers, and jaundice, it will lower fevers, inflammations, acts as intestinal strengthener and laxative.
Bayberry (Myrica cerifera) warming and astringent, traditionally used in fever management associated with diarrhea and dysentery.
Bee Pollen – it is an antioxidant of resveratrol a strong immune system builder, speeds healing and is a digestive aid. used as pain relievers, to reduce allergies and to prevent cancer has flavanol, and lycopene along with vitamins A, B, C, K and E help to ward off infections by strengthening the body’s ability to overcome or prevent inflammation while regenerating the cells. Black Cohosh – As an anti-spasmodic, it works on ovarian neuralgia, thyroid balance, encourages estrogen production or if pet loses hair, after being spayed
Black walnut Hull – Expel Parasites, gentle laxative, high in magnesium. For intestinal flora imbalances, it tones the GI tract. As an anti-fungal, it may help in yeast infections. Successfully used to treat HEARTWORM positive dogs, natural Heartworm prevention as well.
Blessed Thistle (Cnicus Benedictus) Blood Purifier, general Tonic – Liver – Lungs – Kidneys – Heart -Tumors great power in the purification and circulation of the blood. It strengthens all the principal members of the body, as the brain, the heart, the stomach, the liver, the lungs, and the kidney; it is also a preservative against disease. recommended for animals exposed to smokers in the family and other pollutants in the workplace/environment.

Blue Flag (Iris versicolor) Other names are Poison Flag, Flag Lily, Liver Lily, Snake Lily, Dragon Flower, Dagger Flower, Water Flag. a liver lymphatic, it gets natural oils to the skin and is well mixed with other herbs for blood toxicity; powerful liver stimulant; it will increase the metabolism and assimilation of complex foods for deficient body types. a useful purgative in disorders of the liver and duodenum, an ingredient of many compounds for purifying the blood. Burdock Root (Arctium lappa) valued as a blood purifier and cleanser. It stimulates the secretion of digestive juices, especially bile. used to treat arthritis and assists in normal kidney.
Calendula – (Calendula officinalis) anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal and wound-healing properties when used externally. It is used as a skin wash for the fast healing of wounds, burns, insect bites, skin lesions, cut and abrasions. used in compresses and salves as a first aid remedy. On wounds and abscesses, make sure the opening is completely cleaned out and all pus removed before applying the salve or compress – calendula closes the skin rapidly and no toxins should remain inside the wound once the skin is closed. Carbo Vegetabilis- helpful for your animal if they are sluggish, weak, cold and exhausted, useful when treating digestive disturbances.
Cascara Sagrada – gentle natural laxative for chronic constipation.
Cat’s Claw (Uncaria tomentosa) boosts immune system and is an antioxidant, used to treat bowel disorders such as Crohn’s disease, including swelling and pain (inflammation) of the large intestine (diverticulitis), inflammation of the lower bowel (colitis), inflammation of the lining of the stomach (gastritis), stomach ulcers,  and leaky bowel syndrome. Most used for improving symptoms of arthritis. Used for supporting the cancer patient as it is an immunomodulator.
Cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum) mildly toxic to most cats and dogs contains carotene molecules which have powerful antioxidant effects. Cayenne can help digestion, improve circulation, and lower cholesterol and blood fat levels. When applied topically, it may act as a pain reliever
Celery seed (Apium graveolens) has diuretic and antiseptic effects. It also relieves smooth muscle spasm and may lower blood pressure. used to treat arthritis and urinary tract infections.
Cautions: Celery should not be used with kidney disease.
Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) *make sure it is the matricaria recutita and no other types of chamomiles as those can be toxic. general nausea, stress, anxiety, has many beneficial effects. It is anti-inflammatory, anti-allergy, aids digestion, relieves muscle spasm, is a relaxant and has wound-healing effects. used to treat many conditions including asthma, hay fever, sinusitis, gastrointestinal disturbances, nervous tension, insomnia, and tension cleanser & toner of the digestive tract; aids in calming the nerves; expels worms & parasites; Externally it can be used to treat skin problems and conjunctivitis.
Chaparral –Aids in healing arthritis & allergies; promotes hair growth; acts as a natural antibiotic within the body with no side effects.
Chickweed (Stellaria media) Broad spectrum use in Allergies, Appetite, asthma, blood poisoning, bronchitis, cancer, colon problems, cleansing, constipation, hay fever, sore throats, swelling, tumors, ulcers. is a vitamin and mineral- rich herb. It is rich in B complex vitamins, iron, copper, calcium, and zinc. It can be used externally to relieve itching and has wound-healing and emollient properties.
Cleavers (Galium aparine) Other names: Barweed, Bedstraw, Catchweed, Goose Grass, Grip Grass, Hayruff, Hedge-burs, Scratchweed, Stick-a-back. used to treat ulcers, infected glands, kidney and bladder stones, bladder inflammation, difficult urination, swelling due to water retention. a remedy for stomach bloating, blood in the urine and other urinary problems, and deep-seated skin infections
Corn Silk – Used for painful urination to soothe the membranes, increase urinary output, and dilute solid waste.
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) broken and fractured bones, sprains, and damaged tendons; it will stimulate respiratory organs and eliminates expectoration; helpful in arthritis, stomach problems, ulcerated tonsils, abscesses, and wounds is good as a wound healer. It is soothing, healing and anti-inflammatory. Comfrey also rids the Bacteria of Streptococcus and Staphylococcus bacteria, heals urinary tract infections with blood in the urine, heals the lungs and respiratory problems, and heals skin wounds, bites, and itching (externally). It has been banned for oral use but can still be found in salves.
Co enzyme 10 Supplement – heart circulation, Feline AIDS.
Cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon) used to treat urinary tract infections and as a long-term preventive for kidney stones.
Dandelion Leaf (Taraxacum officinale) – Promotes appetite, has mild diuretic properties, and contains tons of vitamins and minerals that help cats with Chronic Renal Failure. It has a diuretic effect and is more powerful than dandelion root, which should never be used at all in cats with CKD. The leaves can be used sparingly. electrolyte balancer, diuretic does not deplete potassium in the cat or dog, good for kidney inflammations. blood cleansing effects. Kidney and liver tonic source of vitamins and minerals, including potassium. used to treat liver conditions and improve liver function.
Dandelion root– stimulates bile production and circulation throughout the liver. CAUTION should never be used for cats with CKD
Devils Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens)- A great anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and body tonic. take pain away quickly while bringing the inflammation down. Acts to decrease blood fats, cholesterol, and uric acid levels, also good for adrenal cortical problems. used to treat arthritis, liver, and gallbladder complaints, effective for arthritis symptoms as well as liver and kidney problems.
Echinacea (Echinacea angustifolia, E. purpurea, E. pallida) a natural antibiotic, as well as antiviral, antifungal and disinfectant. boosts the strength of t-lymphocytes. Effective to strengthen immune system health and aid the immune system to fight the effects of coughs and upper respiratory infections such as bronchitis and sinusitis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacterial infection.
Elderberries (Sambucus nigra) diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-catarrhal actions. raises body temperature, causing sweating which is useful in stimulating the immune system. Have laxative, diuretic, and anti-inflammatory actions. used to treat colds, flu, dry coughs, sinusitis, and catarrh. Use as tea, raw leaves and roots are toxic to cats.
Elecampane (Inula helenium) antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal effects. A digestive tonic, an expectorant, reduces coughing by relaxing the bronchial muscles. Uses Elecampane is used to treat chronic coughs, bronchitis, and asthma.
Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis)- helps control inflammation, eye redness, swelling, and sticky secretions. A strong tea of eyebright, used as drops or a wash, is perfect for irritated eyes on all pets. It is known by its generic term Eyebright. Will remove cysts that have been caused by chronic conjunctivitis.
Vitamin E Oil – In food and topically on the affected area
Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)- expel gas, stomach cramping and intestinal colic, mildly calming to coughs and colds causing amenorrhea, increases lactation in nursing mothers. it is the seeds which are used medicinally. used to treat respiratory infections and digestive problems such as gas and bloating. can be used as an eyewash to treat eye infections.
Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) anti-inflammatory stomach disorders. used to treat sore throats, bronchitis and to improve digestion.
Flax (Linum usitatissimum) valued for its fiber and oil, source of beneficial omega-3 fatty acid and is proven Oil that will repress Tumor Growths.
Garlic (Allium sativum) Acts on bacteria, viruses, and intestinal parasites. It is antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory. It boosts immune function, helps digestion used to treat infections and digestive and respiratory problems. it kills worms, parasites, and harmful bacteria NOT FOR CATS. Moderately safe for dogs but not recommended.
Gentian (Gentiana lutea) used to stimulate digestive activity, digestive complaints such as dyspepsia, gastritis, diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale) For intestinal cramping and gas, indigestion used to treat motion sickness, nausea, and vomiting; inflammatory conditions such as arthritis; and to improve digestion.
Gingko Biloba – antioxidant, brain tonic, circulation.
Ginseng (Panax ginseng and Eleutherococcus senticosus) Korean or Chinese ginseng (Panax ginseng) Siberian ginseng (Eleutherococcus senticosus). Korean ginseng is thought to be more stimulating than Siberian ginseng. anti-fatigue and anti-stress properties. Siberian ginseng is often used to treat chronic fatigue
Golden Rod (Solidago virgaurea) woundwort and Aaron’s rod, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial and astringent actions. used to treat kidney and urinary infections and stones.
Goldenseal  Antibiotic/penicillin. helps fight pathogens and fungal infections of the skin and increases the body’s immune response by activating macrophages. alleviate gastritis, ulceration, colitis prevents bacteria from attaching to cells, stimulates the immune system, used to treat inflammatory digestive conditions such as gastritis, peptic ulcers, and colitis. It is a liver cleanser and antiseptic, and is used for internal bleeding and bowel diseases, is a natural insulin. Use goldenseal as an elixir for pets with cancer, feline leukemia, feline infectious peritonitis, and tumors. Do not use goldenseal with hypoglycemic animals or add licorice root to goldenseal for them. Monitor diabetic pets closely.
Gotu Kola (Centella asiatica) – a cerebral stimulant, it carries nutrients for transport to the brain and rejuvenates neural synapses used to treat wounds, toxic in large doses.
Gravel Root (Eupatorium purpureum) Also known as kidneyweed, used to treat kidney and urinary infections and stones
Grape seed Extract – Antioxidant. reduce the coughing, wheezing, weakness, mucous and recurring respiratory infections. Slows cancer cell growths, a powerful antioxidant.
Grindelia– tonic effects on the lungs and kidneys, an expectorant to cough up obstinate catarrh, a mild diuretic.
Hawthorn Berries heart tonic good for myocarditis. used to treat atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and cardiac arrhythmias.
Hops (Humulus lupulus) calmative, seizures, promotes sleep, control nervousness and nervous stomach problems. have sedative, soporific, diuretic, and antibacterial effects. used to treat insomnia, restlessness, and nervous tension. The herb can also be used to treat irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and dyspepsia. On the toxic list and not recommended.
Horsetail (Equisetum arvense) – diuretic, silica, asthma, and kidney disorder, strengthens tissues, used to treat urinary tract such as cystitis, urethritis, kidney stones, and incontinence. It can be used externally to stop bleeding and heal wounds. Horsetail builds the immune, glandular, and nervous systems, plus skin, coat, teeth, and nails. It helps in expelling parasites/worms and is a diuretic. On the toxic list and not recommended.
Hyssop – respiratory anti-viral and anti-spasmodic for croupy coughs, bronchitis, and asthma. Not for cats.
Isatis  a broad spectrum antiviral, antibiotic, and antiseptic. Use for chronic  lung infection, treating  Feline Viral Rhinopneumonitis (FVR), Rhinotracheitis virus and Feline Herpes virus type 1 (FHV-1) all primary respiratory virus infections, viral pneumonia,  eye drops for conjunctivitis, leukemia, Canine Distemper Viral infections. 
Juniper Berries – diuretic, and is used for cystitis & urethritis
Kali chloricum– is useful for treating long term pet kidney disorders.
Kelp – mineral of Iodine, natural thyroid gland assistance for hypothyroid pets, helps with low blood pressure with traces of magnesium which is good for muscle relaxation.

Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis) This essential oil used to treat anxiety, depression, insomnia, flatulence, allergies, and viral infections such as herpes.

Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) has adaptogen properties, which help combat stress and fatigue. It acts as an anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antibacterial, antiviral effects, and a natural cortisone to help jump start the immune system. used to treat inflammatory and allergic conditions, colds, viral infections, hepatitis, peptic ulcers, and skin conditions. should not be used during pregnancy, liver disease or kidney failure.
Lecithin grains – Origin is imperative. Must be derived from Sunflowers. nerves, nerve protection, good for heart dogs, seizure dogs. 1 teaspoon in daily meals.
Ledum Palustre (Led.) for puncture wounds from stings, bites, nail or thorn penetration, bite wounds
Marshmallow (Althea officinalis) a soothing, healing plant. It has demulcent, emollient, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, and expectorant actions. used to treat stomach and duodenal ulcers, catarrh, coughs, colds, and urinary tract infections. Soothing agent for inflammation of the mouth, stomach, intestines, kidneys, and bladder, all gastro-intestinal disorders
Marigold (Calendula Off) lymphatic and reducing inflammation in the throat and stomach.
Meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria) (NOT for CATS) contains an aspirin-type compound called salicylic acid. It has antiseptic, anti-ulcer, anti-inflammatory, and diuretic properties. used to treat ulcers, diarrhea, kidney problems and gastric acidity, astringent throughout the digestive tract.

Milk Thistle (Silybum marianum) liver-protecting properties. It prevents damage and improves function used to treat liver function, gallstones. important for any pet that has been on Cortisones or given heartworm drugs. leptospirosis, and parvovirus recovery and has strong antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions, detoxifying actions, and that it promotes cellular repair and regeneration.

Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) a respiratory remedy, an expectorant, demulcent, diuretic, anti-inflammatory, nervine, anti-spasmodic and astringent actions. used to treat respiratory disorders, asthma, bronchitis, diarrhea, sinus congestion; soothing to any inflammation and relieves pain; acts to relieve spasms & clears the lungs.
Myrrh (Commiphora molmol) a cleansing agent and antiseptic, anti-fungal and astringent effects. used to treat infected gums.
Morin Extract – (Noni Juice) regenerate tissue cells. tonic for sick/cancer and/or elderly pets. 1 dropper daily with meal

Natrum Sulphuricum– The effects of head injuries or spinal injuries, detoxifies and supports liver

Nux Vomica – acts on both the central and peripheral nervous system, on the stomach and liver, useful in case of gastroesophageal reflux, stomach acid, acute and chronic gastritis, ulcers, nausea, IBD, colitis, constipation, and cystitis

Oatstraw (Avena sativa) a nervine tonic, anti-depressant, nutritive, demulcent and healing properties. used to treat debility, exhaustion, and stress.
Oregon grape root (Mahonia aquifolium) beneficial effects on the liver and gallbladder and blood purifier. used in constipation
Olive Leaf  helps circulation, bacteria, virus, fungi, and parasites, chronic sinusitis
Oats Seed – anti-inflammatory and tonic, nourishes the nervous system.
Parsley (Petroselinum crispum) used to treat urinary infections and stones, improve digestion, and treat flatulence. a nutrient, digestive tract tonic and diuretic high in potassium, minerals, and vitamins. helps a mother dog or cat stop lactating in case of lost litter. Not for lactating mothers.
Pau d’arco (Tabebuia avellanedae) antibacterial, antiviral, anti-parasitic, anti-inflammatory used to treat vaginal and intestinal yeast infections. immune builder, treating systemic and yeast infections, inhibits candida enzymes from producing, and will increase red blood cell counts. Topical only.
Pleurisy Root Good for dry coughs and congestion as it will remoisten the lungs making expectoration easier, increase sweating for cold, flu symptoms. Will relieve difficulty in breathing, bronchitis, and pleurisy.
Passionflower relaxant, seizures, sedative, used in asthma combinations and seizures.
Peppermint – motion sickness, restore appetites in dogs.
Pumpkin – stops diarrhea, a natural psyllium

Saw Palmetto (Serenoa repens) –used to treat urinary tract infections.
Stone root (Collinsonia canadensis) –diuretic used to treat kidney stones, gall stones,
Siberain Ginseng – tonic, increase performance, stamina, and endurance, increase mental alertness. Do not use in pets with bleeding or pets with anxiety, hyperactivity or nervousness or kidney disease
Sage (Salvia officinalis)- cooling herb for skin. calmative, anti-spasmodic, anti-microbial, astringent, and anti-inflammatory actions.
Silicea– Fortifies kidney tissue and slows kidney degeneration.

St. John’s Wort (Hypericum perforatum) Toxic to cats and dogs

Shiitake – immune regulator, tumor inhibition, anti-viral, anti-bacterial, liver protector.

Skcullcap (Scutellaria laterifolia)- Nerve repair, seizures, insomnia, fear, migraine headaches, hypersensitivity. Skullcap is valued for its effects as a nervous system tonic. used to treat anxiety, nerve and nervous system repairer, antispasmodic, and pain reliever.

Silica (Silicea) remedy for pushing things that don’t belong out of the body, help empty anal glands
Slippery elm Powder (Ulmus rubra) used to treat ulcers and inflammatory conditions of the digestive tract such as gastritis and oesophagitis. and colitis, and the entire digestive tract, use for pet’s unable to eat, internally for the lungs, coughing, vomiting, and for stomach or bowel cancer. mucilaginous and healing on the upper digestive tract, best used as an early stage of, and preparatory to, wider treatment. A nutrient and food for very young, old, or very weak cats or dogs
Tee Tree Oil Woof’s only- No more than 10% Tea Tree oil dilution rubbed on the affected areas can both heal and deter licking due to the unpleasant taste. Tea Tree oil of any kind is toxic to Meows and could be deadly
Thyme (Thymus vulgaris) calmative, anti-microbial, anti-spasmodic, expectorant, and astringent effects. useful in improving digestion and treating flatulence.
Thuja Highly anti-fungal, effective in skin problems with ringworm, candidas, urinary tract infections, retards bacterial growth, use only short term as it may irritate kidneys.
Uva Ursi (Arctostaphylos uva ursi) diuretic, astringent, and antiseptic properties. used as an antilithic for bladder and kidney stones and cloudy urine, Nephritis, cystitis, and urethritis and all urinary tract bacterial infections as it contains disinfecting properties, The urine must be alkaline to be effective. toxic in high dose

Usnea Moss, Usnea Barb  (lichen moss and old man’s beard) – wound healing, Antibacterial, Anti-fungal, Antiviral, an immunostimulant

Valerian (Valeriana officinalis)- (similar to Valium drug) is a relaxant, mild pain relief, nerve tonic, restlessness, and emotional stress. a sedative, and tranquilizer, relieves anxiety, used to treat insomnia. for muscle spasms, arthritic pain, and spinal injuries. aids indigestion and gas. Though synthesized to Valium, valerian is safe and non-addictive. * Pets only need 3/4 drops of the liquid extract for relief of pain and discomfort!
Vervain (Verbena officinalis) a nervine tonic, sedative, anti-spasmodic, diaphoretic, hypertensive, and hepatic actions.
