Woof Allergies

We have successfully worked with thousands of Woofs to overcome their allergies and itchingPaw-licking, hot-spots, hair loss above the tail, chronic ear infections, scratching, and smelly skin are all signs your beloved Woof is being fed the wrong food and treats. We get it… you did not know. However, we do not hold back our thoughts on this!  If you follow our pathway, you should notice a healthier non-itchy change within just a few weeks.
The first thing you need to do is look at the ingredients in your Woof’s food and ALL treats. It is not necessary to ‘mix’ with the new food. Throw out anything that has wheat, dairy, corn, sugar, artificial colors, MSG, corn syrup, nitrates, soy, or soybean oil, and the kicker ingredient, beef. According to BMC Veterinary Research (2016 Jan 12) the number one ingredient dogs are allergic to is beef. Who knew right? Why this is not discussed in depth in our report is because very few companies use beef in their dog foods. It is too expensive. Beef is only one of many red types of meat and the others have an extremely small percentage, if any, of allergy response. Wheat though is highly used in treats and food, and as an allergen seems to have a particular show with your Woof having hair loss above the tail, on the lower back. Wheat and corn are cheap dog food fillers and pet food companies will add this to avoid using higher quality products.
Praise Training feeds most of our Woofs chicken and rice or lamb and rice, with a small percentage needing to have salmon and potato or duck and potato if they continue struggling with itching. We recommend all dog foods that adhere to their ingredients to not contain any of the aforementioned items. We do have a few that are our favorites in our list that many of our followers have had great success with, but if you choose another, we ask you to look at the ingredients before buying. Remember, we do not sell any products. We educate.
We have preferred natural treats, without these allergens, which are healthy in our list of recommended products as well, and encourage you to try them. None of them will contain the black-listed ingredients earlier mentioned.
Now you must heal the derma layer on your Woof. Start by throwing away any non-natural flea product you have used in the past. Our tried-and-true recommended shampoos will carry healing ingredients that will have quick results. We then use a good conditioner that should sit on your dog’s coat for several minutes before rinsing.

Give your Woof an omega3-based supplement to put in the food, and 25 mg of zinc to every 50 pounds of weight. Get the zinc without iron. We have listed our recommended products to stop your Woof from licking their itchy sores and others that will help heal if the area is oozing. Please see our complete list of items we recommend.
